🔑 How to get the correct GHL API Key
⚠️ Must be a Sub-Account key, NOT an Agency key — or Social Planner will fail.
Step 1. In GHL, switch to your Sub-Account (not Agency view)
Step 2. Go to Settings → Integrations → Private Integrations
Step 3. Click + Add Integration and give it a name (e.g. "GoLeads AI")
Step 4. Enable scopes: View Contacts (contacts.readonly), Edit Contacts (contacts.write), Edit Social Media Posts (socialplanner/post.write), View Social Media Accounts (socialplanner/account.readonly) and View Users (users.readonly)
⚠️ socialplanner/account.readonly lets us see your connected social accounts, and users.readonly lets us post on your behalf — both are required for auto-posting.
Step 5. Copy the generated token (starts with pit-) and paste it here
Location ID: Sub-account → Settings → Business Info → scroll to Location ID
📣 How to connect your social media in GHL
Step 1. In your GHL Sub-Account go to Marketing → Social Planner
Step 2. Click Settings (top-right) → Connect Accounts / + Add Account
Step 3. Connect each network via its login popup: Facebook Page, Instagram (Business/Creator), TikTok, LinkedIn, Google Business, X/Twitter
⚠️ Instagram must be a Business or Creator account linked to a Facebook Page, or GHL cannot post to it.
Step 4. Once connected in GHL, they appear automatically in GoLeads AI — click Test Connection below to verify.
